Healing for Loss & Grief

Loss and grief are universal human experiences that touch the core of our existence. Throughout our lives, we encounter situations and events that result in profound losses, from the death of loved ones (humans or pets) to the dissolution of relationships, the loss of health, or even the loss of dreams and aspirations. These experiences of loss trigger a complex emotional and psychological response known as grief.

Grief is a highly individualized experience, and there is no "right" or "wrong" way to grieve. However, when grief is left unaddressed, it can significantly impact a person's well-being and functioning.

When people haven't dealt with their grief, it can manifest in various ways, and the effects can be both emotional and physical. Some common signs and behaviors that may indicate someone has not effectively processed their grief are

  • Emotional numbness. Some individuals may appear emotionally numb or detached, avoiding their feelings by shutting down emotionally.

  • Prolonged sadness. Unresolved grief often leads to prolonged periods of sadness or depression. A person may feel persistently down, hopeless, or overwhelmed by sadness, which can affect their daily functioning.

  • Anger and irritability. Grief can sometimes manifest as anger or irritability. Unresolved feelings of loss and helplessness may lead to outbursts of anger, frustration, or irritability towards others.

  • Physical symptoms. Grief can have physical manifestations, and when left unprocessed, it can contribute to health issues such as headaches, digestive problems, sleep disturbances, and weakened immune function.

  • Resort to substance abuse. In an attempt to numb emotional pain, some people turn to alcohol, drugs, or other substances.

  • Constant self-distraction. Some are persistently distracting themselves from feeling their pain by overeating, overspending, excessive work, etc.

  • Health neglect. People who haven't dealt with their grief may neglect their physical health by failing to seek medical attention when needed or neglecting self-care routines.

  • Difficulty moving forward. Grief typically involves a process of adapting to life without the person or thing that was lost. When grief remains unresolved, individuals may find it challenging to move forward, set new goals, or find meaning in life.

Healing for Loss & Grief focuses on assisting the recipients to move through their grief by releasing emotional pain such as deep sadness, depression, fear, anxiety and more.
It aims to reduce mental and emotional stress, which is helpful for those dealing with grief-related emotions, reduce the intensity of grief and encourage emotional healing.

Whether the recipient has been grieving for a long time or recently, each will benefit from this clearing.
Healing for Loss & Grief can be used as additional support for coping with grief and emotional distress.

Hayatti is no stranger when it comes to loss and grief. She has walked the path of loss and grief, emerging stronger and more compassionate with each experience.

As a teenager, she was confronted with the harsh reality of death for the first time when her cousin tragically drowned. Overwhelmed by grief, she found herself grappling with emotions she had never experienced before, unsure of how to navigate the depths of her sorrow.

At 25, she faced the unbearable loss of her beloved mother, whose sudden death came as an immense shock. The agony of losing her mother was unbearable, pushing her to suppress her emotions deep within, leading to years of guilt, anger, and depression.

One day, she had an emotional breakdown that was triggered by a massive anger. Picking herself up from the emotional mess that she created, she discovered the power of acknowledging and embracing her feelings, allowing them to flow, no matter how agonizing. After years of being in denial, she is finally at peace with her mother's death.

A decade later, grief knocked on her door once more, this time in the form of her cherished feline companion, Spot. Hayatti realized the often-overlooked pain of losing a pet, compounded by the lack of understanding and support from others.

Driven by her own journey, Hayatti offers healing for those struggling with the loss of a beloved pet or loved one. With a heart filled with empathy and a spirit strengthened by her own trials, she provides a safe space to grieve, support, energetic or otherwise and assistance for others to move through their grief with ease.
