Feeling Depressed? Here's what you can do about it today.

What you may not know about me is it's so easy for me to fall into depression.

A healer who is easily depressed can be shocking to hear.

After all, some people view that healers would take good care of themselves and that includes their mental and emotional states.

There are two main reasons why I tend to fall into depression.

1. Negative thoughts.

I often noticed when I was depressed, there was usually one or more negative thoughts that were running around in my head.

When I am unaware of these negative thoughts, that is when I become depressed. Sometimes this goes on for days because I was unconscious about the thoughts in my head.

The moment I become aware of these negative thoughts, that is when I do the inner work and almost all the time, I managed to pull myself out of depression.

2. Energetic makeup.

A few months ago, I found out that my emotional body ray is The Second Ray.

The Second Ray is the yellow ray of Wisdom and Joy.

The Second Ray has many lessons.

One of the lessons is being in balance with head and heart.

When the head and heart aren't in balance, the mind can take over and the heart is shut down which can lead to mental illness for some.

The Second Ray people are susceptible to depression.

When I found out this, it made sense to me why it is easy for me to be depressed.

However, I don't use this information to justify that it's okay to be in depression.

It's not okay to be depressed.

Being depressed robs me, you and everyone else from experiencing happiness and joy in life.

If you find that you are susceptible to depression, one of the things that you can do is get professional help.

They are there to help you.

So allow yourself to be helped and allow them to help you.

Or if you are willing, you can do the inner work yourself.

Ask yourself the following questions and write down your response to every question.

  1. What is the negative thought?

  2. Where did it come from?

  3. Is it yours?

  4. Are you willing to let it go?

  5. Let it go

If your answer is yes to the last question, then just release all the emotional baggage without any interruptions from your mind.

If you are able to do this successfully, most of the time, you will feel calm and peaceful afterward.

If your answer is no, then ask yourself why are you still holding on, knowing that the thought or the belief is making you feel depressed.

It's almost always the holding on that gets us stuck being depressed.
